Saturday night's all right
Motico
plays the
Backroom at Freddy's Bar this Saturday! Last weekend was
the weekend of parties (and hangovers), but what's going on
this weekend? Absolutely nothing besides our show! What's
that? CMJ-what? I'm sure I don't know what you're talking
about. Look, chances are if you read this site you live within
walking distance of Freddy's Bar, so you might as well show
up. Hmm, that seems weird, but nearly everybody I know lives
somewhat near this bar. Maybe because it's only a couple blocks
from the Atlantic/Pacific subway. or MAYBE because it's the
nexus of the universe?! Maybe.
The show will be a lot of fun, as most events are at Freddy's.
There's just something about that place. Speaking of which,
if you break your leg and can't make it to Stupid's
show on Friday, check out what's going on at Freddy's lately.
Ever since I saw
Shaun of the Dead, I've been thinking about buying
the rights to turn it into the first Broadway Zombie Musical
Romantic Comedy. It's totally a natural. Plus everybody else
has been cashing in on this movie-to-musical thing, why can't
I? But anyway, somebody is trying to beat me to it: Friday
night at midnight there will be a performance of Night of
the Living Dead: The Musical! Pretty cool, huh? Actually,
an enterprising young scenester could probably get to both
shows, since Stupid goes on at 9.
But don't forget Motico's show Saturday. Do not attempt to
multitask beyond drinking and rocking out.
